Hello my Crafty Partners in Creativity and welcome to the August Blogger’s Choice card hop! Today, I wanted to show off the new hot foil system that Stampin’ Up!® has recently released! It is AMAZING! I think I have a new addiction! The ease of use and the wow affect it can give really takes cards from the good to great! I truly can’t explain the level of professionalism the card has. Photos are so limited in how they showcase the card.

What I used

I have labeled the items I used for my card.

August 2026 Blogger’s Choice card

First card

Let’s dive into the making of this card! I used Fresh Freesia card stock for the cad base, cutting it to the standard card size of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, creased at 4 1/4″. Next, I used the Violet Dreams Designer Series Paper for the card front. I took some Basic White card stock and the Soft Pink Foil to create a backdrop. This takes about 10 minutes to prep and get run threw the machines, so be patient. Because I don’t like blank spaces on a card front, I stamped the dotted image on the foiled paper. Adding the Fresh Freesia ribbon to the card front gave an anchor to the stamped and fussy cut begonia flower and leaf. The Basic White card front was added using dimensionals.

The Begonia Belle stamp set is a two-step stamp set. The large flower and leaf have to images that complement each other! I recommend stamping the bold image in a light color and doing that first. Then, add the accent image with a darker color. You’ll be able to line up your images a lot better. I used Fresh Freesia and Bubble Bath for the flower and Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist for the leaf. You have no idea how I struggled to used the Lemon Lime Twist. I honestly thought it would be too light. It’s perfect, though!

Once I had the images stamped, I fussy cut them out. The leaf is simply added under the ribbon, then the flower was elevated using some mini dimensionals. My banner is simply Basic White card stock stamped with Granny Apple Green to break up all the pinks and purples. Finally, the Dewdrop Embellishments are placed at the top of the card to bring it all together.

Inside Card

The stamp set I used for this card has the background dotted image and I just love those! I may have a bit of an addiction to them. I had to use them and I added the small flower image with them so it didn’t feel like an afterthought. Decorating the inside of a card is important, but it can be tricky to not make it feel obligatory. I loved how this stamp set gave lots of options for inside and outside. This is probably one of my favorite Product of the Month sets so far. A great $5 spend.

“You are my sunshine” is something I have said to my youngest since she was 2. She’d sing that song to me when she wanted to wake me up in the morning and not get in trouble because she was up before the sun! When I saw the sentiment, I knew I needed to use it and send this on to her! Who would you like to create this card for and remind them of how they brighten your world?
