Birthday Fun Fold Card

Welcome to the Birthday Fun Fold blog hop with the Ink Stamp Share hoppers.

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome to the Birthday Fun Fold hop! This card was made yesterday while watching The Devil Wears Prada 2. I have crafted to the first movie for years. It’s my go to movie when I have crafter’s block. I think I have a new one to use! 4 hours of crafting movies is never a bad thing!

For today’s card, I wanted to use a set I haven’t played with much. I ended up using 2 stamp sets and 2 die sets. Anyone who has been following me knows I am a rule follower and I tend to stick to bundles, putting what was made to go together, stays together. I changed that up for this card a little.

Card Set Up

I don’t have a ton of time to fill you in on the creating of this card so I’ll do a quick summary. This is a book fold card, the edge of the card is creased 1/2″ from the center fold crease. This will shorten your card a little so you might have to make a slight cut on the back of the card to make them line up. I used tear and tape adhesive. It’s simply the strongest adhesive for this fold. Be sure to place your ribbon all the way thru the card inside or you’ll have a bump where it ends.

I added the Designer Series Paper with Multipurpose Glue. I took a piece of Basic White card stock and used a small blending brush to color the top of the card stock Lemon Lolly and the bottom is blended with Lost Lagoon. The stems of both flower and the sentiment are stamped with Lost Lagoon. The flowers are stamps in Barely Blush and die cut out. The flower centers are stamped in Smokey Slate and the die cut out of Smoky Slate card stock. I simply added them with glue. I die cut that out and added it with dimensionals. To finish it off, I added the flowers die cut out of Lost Lagoon card stock.

Inside the Card

All I did on the inside of this card as add the negative to the card front. That frame just had to be used. I couldn’t waste it! I hope you like the feel it gives this card!

This card was a challenge for me. I was having troubles getting started, but once I did, it went pretty well! It’s funny how similar crafting is to real life!

I hope you enjoyed this card, and I can’t wait to be back next time with more new stuff, and hopefully a fun fold for ya!
