Welcome to the Blogger’s Choice blog hop, my Crafty Friends! The theme for this hop was left up to the creators. The great thing about this theme is that we can showcase projects we might have been wanting to use, but they didn’t match up with any other challenge. I have been wanting to use the Full of Life Designer Series Paper in a project, but it just never seemed to fit what I was making for any other hop.
This card came together pretty fast, but it was a ton of fun to make. I actually finished it while chatting with my sweet friend, Linda. I tend to be more creative when we’re talking. It’s probably because I can’t overthink my projects.
Front of Card
To start with, I used the Pretty In Pink card stock for my card base. I love that they brought it back, even if it’s just an In Color and will retire again. I’m gonna use it as much as I can until then. :D I added some Basic White card stock after I used the textured stamp image from the Spotlight on Nature set. I used the blending brushes to add some Pretty in Pink, and made that the background.
Next, I used the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP for the focal point. I know I used the milder side of the paper, but I’m really not a bold color type girl. :D Because I wanted to make the DSP (designer series paper) the main focus of the card, I used the largest circle in the set. Then I added the leaf image to some Basic White card stock and cut out another circle for the sentiment. Adding the bling at the end always makes the card feel complete, like adding earrings to an outfit.
I’m not one that gets all fancy with my cards, unless we are put to a specific task, but I do hope that you are enjoying what you see!
