Welcome to the May’s POTM blog hop.

Hello my Crafty Partners in Creativity and welcome to May’s POTM blog hop. Each month, if you purchase $75 US in product, you can purchase the Product of the Month for $5. February’s Product of the Month was the Painted Illusions Designer Series Paper. Because I just can’t seem to get my order in quick enough, my product of the month card will almost definitely be a month behind! lol

As always, my card is made using last month’s product of the month. It’s still available as of the time I made this post. If it’s not available when you place your order, contact me. I might be willing to part with mine!

What I used

I have labeled the items I used for my card.

To start the card off, I used Golden Glow card stock for a basic card base. I used the negatives spaces from the Floral Flight Accent dies to make silhouettes on the card base. They aren’t as noticeable as I was hoping, but there isn’t a solid background behind the DSP either, and that’s what I wanted to accomplish.

Next, I die cut the Everyday Essentials Designer Series Paper. I cut it out of a larger piece and trimmed it to the right side so that it wasn’t off center. Next, I added it to the card base, then I picked the flowers and butterflies for the card front. I punched the circles and added them to the center of the card. The banner is punched out of Basic White card stock and stamped it with the Golden Glow In Color. I added Seal to the back and looped the twine around three times. To finish is off, I added dimensionals and placed it in the middle of the circle.

Looking inside the card

The inside is Basic White with a Golden Glow stamped sentiment. Just as a little bonus, I added the small butterfly on the bottom.

May’s POTM card wasn’t hard at all to put together! In fact, this card was one of the simplest cards I’ve made in a while. The fun part is that it’s very easy to recreate so you can share with anyone that needs a pick me up!
