Welcome to the No Stamps/Ink Challenge blog hop.

Hello and welcome to the No Stamps/Ink Challenge!! This is a fun challenge for several reasons. One, you can’t use any stamps to add images to the card. Two, it makes using Designer Series Paper or Memories & More products almost a must! Using products we sometime ignore can really make the creative juices start to flow a bit better. Getting out of comfort zones really adds to the fun!

I’ll be the first to admit when I’ve missed the directions and “cheated” a little. I didn’t see the no inks part of the challenge title, so I may have used my brayer to add some color on top of the embossed card base t make the image stand out. I could have used some alcohol to lighten the raised part of the paper as well, so I would have been in compliance and still gotten a similar effect.

The card base for this Timid Tiger 2025 – 2027 In Color. I embossed it using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. From the Days Like This Memories & More kit, I used the card that had the butterflies on the front and the sentiment “Lots of Laughter” on the back. I didn’t want the sentiment card to take the entire front, so I trimmed it down to 3″ x 3″. I layered the cards and glued them together. The Secret Sea ribbon was glued on and then I added the card front to the card using the Multipurpose glue. As always, the final step was to add the Secret Sea 2025 – 2027 In Color Flat Pearls to finish off the card.

Looking inside the card

Because we couldn’t use stamps, DSP had to do! lol I use the left over piece I had from cutting down the second card from the Memories & More pack. It was cut into four 1 1/2″ x 1/2″ strips. I crossed them over each other and glues them to the edges to frame the message area.
