Retiring 2020-2022 In Colors™

Hello my Crafty Friends!

It’s that time of year again! We have to say goodbye to our lovely 2020-2022 In Colors™. I’m really sad about these, mostly Misty Moonlight and Just Jade. I really love them and probably use them more than any other colors.

I their honor, we are doing a blog hop to say so long. It was pretty easy to do this hop. I knew exactly what I wanted these cards to look like. I wanted a fun, but meaningful greeting. I wanted to use some products in a different way as well. I love finding new uses for all my products. It adds value to them.

I used the In the Moment stamp set for the card front. I didn’t want the typical edges on the Basic White card stock, so I used the Basic Borders Die set and just took the edges off the corners. I used washi tape to hold the die in place as I sent it though the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Remember to go at an angle so you don’t put stress on the die or the machine.

For the images, I used my Stamparatus so everything lined up and it took less time since I didn’t have to keep lining up my two stamps for each card. On the card bases, I used the Meadow Moments embossing folder. on the top and the bottom. Make sure to so the top first, or the second time through flattens the embossed images on the edge.

Because I didn’t want to make these cards too involved, I just finished them with the Linen Thread. The colors are what I wanted to stand out, not some pretty embellishment.

That’s my little contribution to this blog hop and I know you’re going to love the next demo’s projects. Be sure to follow the next button so you don’t accidentally miss someone.

Until next time, Stay Crafty Friends!

Very nice! I love monochromatic cards, especially with all these pretty colors. I don’t particularly like green usually, but I am a fan of Just Jade, and I will miss it along with my favorite Misty Moonlight, and that Cinnamon Cider that made such a great addition to our neutral colors. I love how you used the Basic Borders dies on an angle like that – it really adds so much interest to these cards. Thanks for sharing 😀

Thank you for such a wonderful comment! I don’t use a lot of greens in my crafting either, but I am truly going to miss the Just Jade. It’s one of the prettiest greens we’ve had. Misty Moonlight was definitely my favorite as well. It’s our best blue hue that can be used for any card. I’m really going to miss it!
