Welcome to the Showcase Challenge blog hop with the Ink Stamp Share hoppers.

Hello Crafty Friends! Here we are at the end of July. This month flew by and we were blessed to have only a few days of unbearable heat. The high humidity is another story altogether. The weather outlook for August is good so far, but we all know how fast that can change! I pray all y’all are having tolerable weather as well and I keep those of you who aren’t in my prayers.

This week’s hop is a Showcase hop. That means we got to choose what to make and what sets to use. I just got the new Charming Day suite in and I had to play with it. This suite has everything you need to make a whole bunch of gorgeous cards!

I haven’t made many cards using the new In Colors™, so I grabbed Timid Tiger card stock and got busy. The little leaves on the front are stamped using Stampin’ Spots™ inked with Cloud Cover reinker. I colored the leaves in with Clear Wink of Stella™. Next, I die cut out 3 Mossy Meadow circles using the Stylish Shapes dies. I used the same die set for the circles for the Designer Series Paper (DSP). See image to see the circles I used for both the Mossy Meadow and the DSP. I glued the circles together and added them to the card front.

The flower image was stamped in Tuxedo Momento Ink and colored in with the Timid Tiger and Mossy Meadow Blends. Wink of Stella was added to the roses as well. To give the flowers a little something extra, I die cut out leaves from Mossy Meadow card stock and added them to the back of the image. I added the image to the card front with dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy ink and die cut out with the banner die shown in the image. Using the Cloud Cover ink spot, I stamped the little leaves on the sides. Finally, I added the Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots.

I stamped the leaves along the bottom of the inside panel. It looks like Night of Navy in the photo, but it’s actually Mossy Meadow. Then I added a small banner of the same DSP to the edge to cover the stems.
