Theme – Thank you cards
Hello My Crafty Friends! It’s been a minute since I posted. Love through me a curve ball and it’s taken some time to get things situated. Thankfully, I’m back and I got my crafting room back. (We had to redo our flooring throughout the house.)
Today’s blog theme is Thank you Cards. From time to time I love to do black and white cards. It’s a nod to the simple stamping I started with. There is no end to the amount of cards you can make with white paper and black ink. One of the the best parts is that they can be done for feminine or masculine cards.
For this card, I used the Quite Meadow stamp and Meadow dies. I really love how they matched up with the Perfectly Penciled 12 x 12 DSP. I absolutely love that paper! The patterns work well with so many of the stamps sets Stampin’ Up! sell. It’s like they’ve thought this all through! 😉
I stamped the dots on the card base. I am so partial to that look and it tends to be my go to background stamping. Then, I cut the DSP for a mount for the image. Next, I cut the Basic White card stock for the image. I stamped that with the Tuxedo Black Momento ink. I die cut out the butterflies with Basic Black scraps that I had set aside. Use your scarps, people! I wrapped the black baker’s twine around the image card stock and placed it on the DSP using dimensionals. I placed those on the card base with Tear and Tape adhesive. I added the butterflies with dimensionals. I die cut the label from the Black card stock scraps and trimmed a piece of white scrap that fit perfectly in the center. I stamped the sentiment in black as well and taped it to the label. Finally, I added mini dimensionals to the right edge and put it on the lifted Basic White card stock. Its a simple card that makes a big splash.
