Hello Friends! I’m so thrilled to have another creation to show you. I’m hoping that you’re enjoying what I’ve posted so far, and will share my posts with your other crafting addict friends.

Last week, I was talking to Linda, and she asked if I’d tried making the newest craze in cards, Slim Line Cards. I was sort of embarrassed to tell her I hadn’t. I’d seen lots of really pretty cards, but wasn’t sure I would be able to create anything different enough to blog. After looking over a few this week, I decided to take the plunge. I’m so very glad I did! These are a ton of fun to create. I think they may become an addiction for me.

First, I had to decide which set to use, which because of the shape of the card, my mind went to a cookie box, so I just knew what set I had to use. The Nothings Better Than Bundle would be exactly what the crafter ordered. I knew I wanted the cookie image on the front, but I didn’t want all the cookies to look like they’d been bitten into. So, I pulled out my square removable sticky papers (trademark laws keep me from saying the name) and stamped the cookie image on it to make my mask and cut it out. Then, away we go… four cookies, one bite mark.

I used the Foam Adhesive Sheets for the wording, so it made it stand out more in the card. I love when things pop. It just makes the card feel more alive in your hands.

I used the In Good Taste DSP for this card, because I love how the background feels like a bakery. The tiled wood is one of my favorite prints in the pack.

The new thing I did in this card that I haven’t done a lot of in the past is the use of so many different card stocks. Yes, it is a lot of cutting, and a lot of scraps, but I love the feel of it. The way the colors just pull the card together without much effort really makes it all worth it. Don’t be afraid to use as many as you want. It will make you smile when you’re all done!

Finally, I wanted to finish this card off with the linen thread as if I was wrapping up a box of homemade cookies for you. Don’t you want to just pull the thread and get into the cookies?

Well, that’s our time for today! I’ll be back again really soon. Please tell me if there’s anything you’d like to see showcased on my blog. I’ll do my best to create your ideas!

Until next time, Stay Crafty Friends!
