Hello Crafty Friends! Welcome to the Waterfall Technique challenge! How many of you are wondering what that is? I had to look it up myself! I’m so glad I did. I had seen them before but shrugged them off because I never thought I would be able to make one. It looked way harder than it really was!
To do the Waterfall technique, you need a card base (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″), the card front ( I used All About Autumn Designer Series Paper that is going to be available in a few days 4″ x 5 1/4″), 4 squares of colored card stock (2″ x 2″), 4 squares of Basic White card stock (1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″) a strip of Basic White card stock (1 7/8″ x 9″), and a strip of DSP or colored card stock for the banner used to hold the waterfall to the card (1″ x 4 1/4″).

Now, the fun part. Stamp the images you want on your small Basic White card stock. I chose to emboss mine. Adhere them to the slightly larger colored card stock squares. Set aside. Glue down the Designer Series Paper to the Colored card base. Add the 1″ strip to the card base about three quarters down the page. Crease the 1 7/8″ x 9″ Basic White card stock at 2″, 2 3/4″, 3 1/2″, and 4 1/4″. Using the 2″ punch, punch out a semicircle on the bottom of the card to give room to grab the pull tab.
On each fold, glue down the top of the squares, making sure to line them up with the square placed before it. Next, once you have the squares all added, glue down the first square on the top of the banner strip and feed the Basic White card stock through, leaving the bottom hanging down. Staple a ribbon on the edge to show the recipient there’s just a little surprise waiting for them!
If you’d like to add a place to write your sentiment, you can add a piece of Basic White card stock to the back. Make sure you stamp it before adding it, unlike me! haha.
That’s it! A beautiful, fun card without as much fuss as you might have thought!
