Enjoying the Moments in Florida

Hello Crafting Friends! How are you doing this wonderful day?

A few weeks back, the mister and I finally got to take our vacation to Florida that we’d planned for our 25th anniversary. We knew there was going to be vast changes in our daily routine than we had hoped, so I took some Stampin’ Up! supplies so I could keep busy in the evenings. Places close too early and it was a bit too chilly to go for walks. (At least for me.)

My goal was to make my blog card for December, and get it posted before time ran out. Well, that didn’t happen, thanks to Jason actually wanting to spend time together! The nerve of him! lol

I did get the card made, though. I used the colors assigned and figured I’d use an upcoming stamp set that I am still trying to fall in love with, Enjoy the Moments. The name was perfect for this trip, so I just went with it.

First I stamped the Buffalo Check stamp on the Whisper White card stock with the Grey Granite Classic stamp pad, then ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine using the Ornate Frames dies. I love how it came out. Next, I stamped the seed image with Cinnamon Cider Classic stamp pad. Then, I used the little leaves from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set, and stamped a little background with Real Red Classic Stamp pad on the Real Red Card Stock. I used the Cinnamon Cider on Whisper White card stock and cut out the frame with the Ornate Frames dies as well. I ran the edges of the label in the ink pad to help it stand out a little bit. I added the Early Espresso Faux Suede ribbon to the card base, added the Buffalo Checked frame, then added the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it some texture. Finally I added the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a nice finish to the card.

I loved the sentiment, as it really did describe our vacation, worth waiting for. I love how Stampin’ Up! has a stamp set for almost every occasion!

Well, until next time, Happy Crafting!!!
