Howdy, my Crafty Friends!
This is my CASED take for the Pop-Up Card Technique challenge. If you’ve followed me for a little bit, you know I am not big on 3D projects. Most times, I don’t have the attention span for longer projects, but this one was different for some reason. I really loved each step, except taping the pillars together. That got a little tedious! Lol

When Linda suggested doing the Pop-Up Card Technique Challenge, I was excited because I knew it would throw me out of my comfort zone, and everyone needs that from time to time. I know I sure did.
To get started, I cut all my papers to the following dimensions:
Sahara Sand Card base – 5” x 7”
Pillars – two Balmy Blue 5” x 7”, two Sahara Sand 5” x 5”, two Night of Navy 3” x 5” (scored on every inch – see pictures)
Pillar DSP – two 7/8” x 6 ¾”, two 7/8” x 4 ¾”, two 7/8” x 2 ¾”
Front panels – Night of Navy 5” x 5”, Night of Navy 3” X 5”, Night of Navy 1 ½” x 5”
Front Panel DSP – 4 ¾” x 4 ¾”, 2 ¾” x 4 ¾”, 1 ¼” x 4 ¾
Basic White – 5 ½ x 8” for die cutting images.
The example I saw from Iced Images use non-Stampin’ Up! materials, so it wasn’t as coordinated as this, but it was very pretty. Because I wanted the pop up to look complete, I added the dsp to the pillars and made them part of the entire project.
I used Garden Green to die cut the seaweed, Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad for the crab, and Petal Pink Classic Stampin’ Pad for the oyster with the pearl. The clam shell was cut out of Basic White, and used to make the sentiment. The bird, clam and crab are cut out of the Basic White card stock as well. I colored in the bird with Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2. Next, I used the water die on the panels to give some texture.
I hope that you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed making it!
Until next time, Stay Crafty Friends!
