Simple Stamping – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

~Simple stamping blog hop~

Hello Crafty Friends! How are you doing this wonderful Autumn day? I’m loving all the tree colors and it really makes me miss my time in Germany. I’d never seen so many different colors and in such an awesome display. Coming from Texas, we have two colors – green and dead. Once Autumn comes, leaves just turn brown and fall off. There is no oh’s and ah’s. lol

When we got here to Omaha, I was thrilled to see that the trees put on quite a lovely show for us here too. I look forward to it all year long. Now, I have to wait till our tree changes colors. It’s always the last in the neighborhood to turn, so we get colors through to November!

Now, on to the reason you’re here! lol This blog hop is to show off the Simple Stamping. Simple doesn’t have to mean boring. You can get so much on a card without having to add a ton of bling. Some of the best cards are ones that the message is the focal point. In my card, I wanted to use this really Sweet & Wild set that I just got it in my last order. I try to use my stamp sets right away, or they get put on the shelf and forgotten about. Oh, I know, the nerve of me! lol

I used my Lovely Labels Pick a Punch for the sentiment banner, a punch I really need to use more often as it really does add a bit of elegance to the cards. Using the sentiment on the card base dresses it up like adding a DSP can do. For the image, I love using bigger stamps with tons of detail like this cure little koala sitting in his tree. It’s got a lot to look at and makes the card appear to have more going on. Adding the sentiment on a different piece of card stock fills in the remaining space on the card.

Never underestimate what you can do with just stamps, card stock, ink, and a punch! The only thing you need is your imagination and a little time to put the ink to paper. Well, some chocolates never hurt, too! haha

To get some more ideas of what you can do with a few crafting supplies, continue on with the hop. Our group never fails to outdo themselves on these challenges!

Simple Stamping is my favorite! I have so many stamp sets that I love, but have gotten distracted by other projects and just forgot them. I hope you get a chance to pull this one out and play some! 😀
