Hello, My Crafty Friends and welcome to the Mirroring Technique blog hop! This has been a crazy month, and it sure fly by! Summer is in full swing here, and the temps are kicking! We finally got some rain and it’s been wonderful. I’m praying it will help our farming community. It’s been awfully dry this year!
This is a fun technique that I tend to forget do more often. I learned to do it years ago, but I think I only used it a few times. It’s very simple and fun! The most important part is to clean off your silicone pad as soon as your done, so you don’t get ink on the rest of your items that will inevitably be lay around.
Starting with the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper, I die cut the top and bottom using the edge die from the Gorgeously Made dies to add some really texture to get it started. Next, I die cut out the two flowers for the front of the card. I die cut out the label and stamped the sentiment from the Gorgeously Made stamp set. Finally, I stamped the flower image on Basic White card stock, then on the Silicone Craft Sheet. Using another piece of Basic White card stock, I transferred the ink from the Silicone Craft Sheet and get the mirrored image. It’s that simple! Now, this is where cleaning the silicone craft sheet comes in. You have to start putting the card together and the area needs to be clean. Once I layered all the pieces, I added some of the Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio.
I hope you enjoyed this card and it inspired you to get in your craft space and create something fun! Now, hop on over to the next Mirroring Technique blog and see what they have in store for you!
If you get time to jump back here, go ahead and take a look at another card I created.
