Wild Roses

Hello My Crafty Friends!

How’s February’s weather been treating you? Here in Nebraska, it’s been beyond cold. The tons of snow we got and frigid temperatures are making me miss Texas more than ever. Come on Spring!!

Here at 2 Moore Stampers, we’ve been working on a few things we want to do new this year for you and our customers. Some will be strictly blog related, others will be strictly Facebook and Instagram related. It is going take a few weeks to get them implemented, but I am sure you will love them! So, please stay tuned.

This card was a labor of love. I had an image in my mind, and to get the exact look I was wanting, I wanted to make the Wild Roses Cling Stamp Set really stand out. So, I decided to emboss with White Embossing Powder. I wanted to add the colors for the color combo challenge. I had to color it twice. First, I used the blenders, but I didn’t like how it dulled the shine of the embossing powder. So, then I used the blending brushes and the ink pads and colored over it again. To keep it from smearing, I used the clear embossing powder to set it. I love how it came out. To cover the edges of the areas that sorta bled into each other, I used the Black 3/8″ Glittered Organdy ribbon.

The color combination is Pool Party, Bumblebee, and Melon Mambo. This card was meant to be part of the February Color Combo blog hop, but I was late submitting my link. Time just got away from me this month. I really wanted to show it to you anyway. Let me know what you think of it!
